Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was quite small and had a slanted floor. The shower screen was broken, making it difficult to use. Additionally, there was an unpleasant smell in the bathroom that lingered throughout my stay.

The location near the shoreline made accessing restaurants and boat tours super easy. My room had a charming vintage style with a big comfy bed. Breakfast on the terrace was a highlight, featuring fresh pastries that paired wonderfully with morning sunshine. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the water pressure in the bathroom was great. I appreciated the staff's effort. Laura at the front desk really went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, even arranging for a crib. However, the bathroom was quite small and could use some updates. It felt cramped, which was a bit uncomfortable. Additionally, the breakfast timing could be adjusted to start earlier for tourists eager to catch the first trains. Although the hotel was clean and well-maintained, the limited areas for loading and unloading in a busy location made check-in a bit chaotic.

we stayed at the hotel portofino for 2 nights and loved the location, just a few mins walk from the restaurants and the beach. the friendly reception staff helped us settle in and even gave us a room with access to a patio area, which was a nice touch.
